Easy Hungarian Goulash
Are you tired of the same old standard ground beef recipes? Tired of meatloaf, sloppy joes, spaghetti, tacos and stuffed peppers? Well, if you are looking for something that is a little different to cook for dinner but still is simple and economical to prepare, then why not try this recipe for Hungarian goulash. One great thing about this recipe is that it is easy for you to modify it to fit whatever may be in your cupboard or refrigerator at the time.
1 lb of ground beef
8 oz of macaroni noodles
1 can of Italian diced tomatoes
1 small can of tomato paste
1 can of tomato sauce
1/2 stick of butter or margarine
1 teaspoon (more or less) of paprika
Sour cream
- Brown ground beef in stock pot
- cook macaroni as usual and add to browned ground beef
- Add all other ingredients (except sour cream) and stir
- season with garlic, onion, salt, and pepper (optional) or with your favorite flavors
- simmer for at least 30 minutes
Just before serving, stir in a dollop of sour cream and heat back up, but do not allow it to boil.
